This was written back in March 2019. I just saw this in my old notebook and decided to post it here.
What is it with coffee shops that draws us in? Is it the aroma? The need for caffeine? The temptation to satisfy our palates? The peaceful air that calms us down?
Each of them contributes to why we are brought here. As we long for a boost of energy while we search for something to fill our stomachs and souls, we become entranced by the bright signboard, and the scent wafting from the place as it grows near.
And when we peek inside, we see people in a calm state: some doing their business while taking sips of their frappes and bites of pastries in between, some chatting over hot mugs of coffee, some are just chilling out by themselves with iced americanos in their hands.
And it was just the perfect time and weather to be in that peaceful, little world.
Can’t help giving in to that experience, can you?
