When she decided to swallow fear and sent them a message asking how things were with them while they were still online, she wasn’t expecting anything.
So why was she hurt when they didn’t reply?
It was because 5 minutes after it was successfully forwarded, they logged out.
It was because they never replied, even with a short “I’m good, thank you” that could’ve at least gave her relief that they were okay at the moment.
It was because a few days later, they left a comment on another person’s post asking them how everything was going.
Was she becoming too much? Too annoying? Too unfavourable? Too intolerable?
All she wanted was to talk to a friend whom she hadn’t had a conversation with for a while now.
She closed her laptop and went to bed, thinking that they probably don’t consider her a friend anymore.
